Face Shape Matters – The Oblong/Rectangle Face
July 24, 2009

A large percentage of men have a square face shape, and it is coincidentally the most ideal and desired shape to work with.  (The square face is the male counterpart to the oval face shape for women.)  Therefore, when it comes to haircuts and beards, the goal is to square off the face, while taking into consideration any imperfections and how to camouflage them.  So, let's continue from where we left off  (Previous post:  Face Shape Matters - The Square Face) Here is what works for an Oblong...

The “Perfect Skin” Cocktail
July 20, 2009

Ok, so I believe that I am in good company when I say that I try to avoid shopping at all cost, unless I can do it on-line.  So just about two months ago, I ran out of my daily multi-vitamin, and asked my wife to pick up a new bottle whenever she had the chance.  I'm not quite sure where in the conversation my request was lost because she returned with 5 bottles!?!  She claimed she researched the best combination of vitamins for a man's body to function at it's best (I know, I know...how...

Ears…wax ‘em! That’s right, wax. You’ll thank me later!

Here is what works for a square face: Haircuts                                                              ...

Multiple razor blades…gimmick?
July 10, 2009

Ever wonder just how many more blades can possibly go across your face before your razor will be considered a weapon? Well, we are up to 5 blades, the Gillette Fusion, or the lesser priced alternative M5 Magnum from Rite Aid drugstore. Both seem to be getting mixed results from my clients. Here is the skinny: multiple blades have a lift-cut system. This system is designed to lift and cut each hair multiple times (depending on the number of blades) during each stroke. The Gillette Fusion blades...
