The barber pole... ever wonder where it came from? From time to time I get asked this question, so I figured I'd share. There are many reasons for a dry scalp:  weather, over-shampooing, and too many hair products, to name a few. Whatever the reason, here is a quick way to reduce or completely rid yourself of the flakes and the itch.  Immediately after showering, towel dry your hair, then apply a hair moisturizer to your scalp.  If you need to use another product to style your hair, wait 5 - 10 minutes before applying that styling product. Don’t pull it out!

The best way to rid yourself of an ingrown hair that has already formed is to gently pull the hair out of the bump or swollen area. How? Make sure you use a sterilized needle, tweezer or even a safety pin;  light a match and run you needle or tweezer through it a few times to kill any potential bacteria, and last but not least, be careful to not remove the hair entirely...  Why?
