John Allan’s took the concept of a pre-shave oil and added a bit of a twist!
It’s labeled as a pre-shave solution that is designed to work the same as a pre-shave oil (See Post: Don’t be afraid of pre-shave oils!).
However, the twist comes with the addition of tea tree oil and a gel-like consistency. Resulting in a much slicker feel than any oil-based pre-shave oil will ever have. So when it comes to glide, Slick Water has you covered.
The only drawback is that since it isn’t completely “oil-based”, the effectiveness is optimal specifically with lotion-based shaving creams (See Post: John Allan’s – Shave). The choice of using a lather shaving cream can result in a quicker drying shave surface.
