The ever popular pomade is a must have for every man’s (with hair) kit. It provides just enough hold for all hair-types. It’s “matted”, which means no shine, so it works for multiple styles (textured is no exception!). John Allan’s – Matte offers a great hold, which can be stronger or lighter, depending on the amount used. And the best part… it won’t look like you spent a lot of time in front of the mirror.

Do you have oily hair? Well, within the past few weeks, I have received emails asking me how to solve this very problem (See Men’s Health Magazine questions). Hey guys, ever notice that your hair looks great on your way out the door, only to notice that by lunch time, not so much? Your hair has taken on a new look, it looks flat, or it’s just out of place. Here’s your solution: fire your barber or hairstylist! Just kidding, I’m sure they did a great job on your hair. But sometimes we, as men, take shortcuts to styling our hair with inferior styling products.

If you wear your hair structured, perhaps with a part, try a pomade or styling wax. Don’t like it looking “too shiny”? No worries…use a matted styling product like Sumotech by Bumble and Bumble. September is here (boy…time is flying!), and it’s time for another “Product of the Month” post. I decided to cover a hair product this month since my first three (POTM) posts have all been about shaving. So I chose a product line that I have been very familiar with for quite some time…Bumble and Bumble.

However, I did find this post to be more difficult than I expected. My dilemma: How to choose one product from a product line that has so many great ones. So, I decided to go with one that can be used on all hair types.

Grooming Creme by Bumble and Bumble.

Not only do I personally use this cream, but, whenever I apply it to my client’s hair, their initial reaction is always ”Wow, I need to get this”. Grooming Creme covers all the bases: it moisturizes, provides a light hold, brings out your hair’s natural texture, and adds a subtle shine, not to mention it’s also perfect for the man on the go. Who can ask for anything more?
