Where’d my conditioner go?

Ever notice how quickly your hair conditioner finishes in comparison to your shampoo? If so, it’s because you’re in the habit of using the same amount of each. Trust me, even I’m a victim of this habit!

But here’s what you need to know. Your hair conditioner does not need to lather in order for it to work… It’s purpose is to replace the oils lost in the scalp due to the cleansing action of your shampoo. So believe me when I say this, “a little goes a long way!”

With that in mind, the next time you find your hair conditioner bottle starting to weigh less than your shampoo… just ease up a bit.

Your wallet will thank you!

From one barber to another this pomade is great!

It’s “matted”, which means no shine, so it works for multiple styles (textured is no exception!). John Allan’s – Matte offers a great hold, which can be stronger or lighter, depending on the amount used. And the best part… it won’t look like you spent a lot of time in front of the mirror.

Hey guys, I know that you want to spend the least amount of time getting ready in order to maximize the most out of your day… that’s why companies sell 2-in1 Shampoos & Conditioners and 5 blade razors- because they understand our desire to conquer the world… right?

However, while there is nothing wrong with hurrying the process of getting out the door, you may be doing your body and hair an injustice!

Take for example your hair… We know that 2-in1 Shampoos & Conditioners are pretty effective (See Post 2-in-1 Shampoos/Conditioners…do they work?), but, there are times that you have to slow down (just a bit) to help your hair look it’s best.

It’s recommended to condition your hair at least once a week. So, for the day of your choosing, leave your hair conditioner in for the recommended time that is on the back of the bottle. You will notice a significant difference in your hair and how it styles. Trust me, not only will you like how it feels… but so will that special someone!

Dry scalp?

There are many reasons for a dry scalp: weather, over-shampooing, and too many hair products, to name a few. Whatever the reason, here is a quick way to reduce or completely rid yourself of the flakes and the itch.

Immediately after showering, towel dry your hair, then apply a hair moisturizer to your scalp. If you need to use another product to style your hair, wait 5 – 10 minutes before applying that styling product.

The reason:

Shampooing removes the ”day old” natural oils and hair products, leaving your scalp clean and moist. Applying a moisturizer to your scalp works the same way as applying a moisturizer to your body. A hair moisturizer along with the natural oils produced by your scalp is a more effective way of combating a dry and itchy scalp. Give it a try!
