The truly fog-free shave mirror by The Shave Well Company

For the month of September, I chose the CruZer 6 Beard & Head as my P.O.T.M. The primary reason this particular model stood out is because it is geared towards achieving and maintaining the “scruffy” beard (See Post: How to Wear a Scruffy Beard) style, which is a big trend right now. The CruZer 6 is an essential tool for preserving the perfect amount of scruff day after day.

This CruZer allows for an easier way to achieve the desired length of beard by adjusting the settings on the shaver itself, eliminating the sometimes frustrating process of using comb guards, as found on a standard trimmer.

If you want more flexibility in your beard styles, and you are looking for a trimmer that can also give you the “clean look”, rest assured… the CruZer 6 can handle that request, too! Another neat aspect of this shaver is that the trimmer slides out so it can be used for detailing, or on those harder to reach areas of the face. Not to mention, it’s multi-purpose and perfect for a quick clean-up for your hair as well!

All in all it’s a great addition for home, work, gym and definitely travel. Give it a try!

Black Ice Shave Cream by 

Having worked as the Master Barber for the Art of Shaving and Executive Barber at Truefitt & Hill (North America),  I had to believe that he was capable of developing a very competitive product.

Disappointed…I was not!

Hand made with 100% natural ingredients, Black Ice Shave Cream, had me from the moment I opened the tub.  With a mix of Anise, Bergamot and Basil oils, Black Ice carries a subtle but very refreshing fragrance, which makes for a far more enjoyable morning shave.

Now, there are many shaving creams out on the market, that do not, maintain significant moisture througout the shave.  Keeping this in mind, Black Ice is one that stepped up to the challenge, keeping my face, and pretty soon yours too, consistently moist throughout the entire shave.  With impressive lather, a little goes a long way with or without the badger brush.  And, not only is it great for home use, but it works very well in the barbering environment, which is a win + win in my book!

A must have in any grooming bag!

It’s summertime! So I believe that it would only be fitting to review a product that can make your summer even better!

MenScience TiO2 Sunblock SPF 30

This ultra-lightweight, oil-free, and waterproof sunblock, quickly absorbs into the skin leaving a matted and clear finish. So no longer will you “look” like you are wearing sunscreen!

MenScience, made it a point to go as high in SPF (SPF30) as realistically possible, while also successfully adding ingredients capable of blocking both UVA & UVB rays!

Here are 4 active ingredients I like!

In this rapidly growing men’s grooming industry, it can get very overwhelming with the number of products that are on the market.  So here is a product that I found to stand out among many others in the After Shave category.

After Shave Balm by Baxter of California

I’m impressed! It has a very subtle fragrance that will never overpower your cologne; a light consistency, so it spreads easily without using too much; and, most importantly, as it heals, and hydrates the skin, it delivers an amazing cool that will instantly calm your skin.

Priced @ $15 for 4oz., Baxter of California has positioned a great product at a very affordable price.

Another month has come and gone, but the one good thing I always seem to look forward to is the opportunity to review another great product!  This month I decided to stay with the theme of hair grooming, and found a great shampoo, conditioner and a daily hydrator all within the same line for your enjoyment.

So without further adieu…please welcome Frederick Benjamin grooming!

All three items are packed with 4 natural oils: Spearmint, Nettle, Clove  and Hemp Seed.  So, forget the coffee! The combination of these 4 oils, create a whirlwind of aromas that not only wake you up in the morning, but tingles just enough to feel like it is massaging your scalp!
