Have you ever noticed that the shaved parts of your face are slightly darker than the rest? Well, if you have, here's why... The aggressive nature of shaving, whether it's with a razor or an electric shaver, can cause skin discoloration. The rubbing or scraping action of the blades can cause minor cuts to the skin, causing "hyperpigmentation", which is the skin's way of replacing color to the damaged area. The best way to rid yourself of an ingrown hair that has already formed is to gently pull the hair out of the bump or swollen area. How? Make sure you use a sterilized needle, tweezer or even a safety pin;  light a match and run you needle or tweezer through it a few times to kill any potential bacteria, and last but not least, be careful to not remove the hair entirely...  Why?
